Mail Client Configuration

The following client configuration settings have been tested with all modern e-mail clients. If you're having trouble getting your client to work let us know.

incoming mail server type: IMAP
incoming mail server name: ic.ucsb.edu
incoming mail server port: 993
use secure connection (TLS): yes
outgoing mail server name: ic.ucsb.edu
outgoing mail server port 587 (TLS) / 465 (SSL)
use secure connection (TLS/SSL): yes
outgoing mail server requires authentication: yes
directory server: directory.ucsb.edu
search base / base dn: o=ucsb
Secure connections are required for all outgoing mail. Older clients using "SSL" encryption must use port 465 while newer clients that employ "TLS" encryption need to use port 587.
